Johnathon Bower is a freelance trombone player from Troy, MI. He is a graduate of Athens High School and Eastern Michigan University. John studied trombone in the studio of Dr. Babcock earning a B.A. in instrumental music education. He will begin his Masters in music education this fall at Eastern Michigan University.

 

John has enjoyed performing with many ensembles including the Eastern Michigan University Bands, Jazz Combo and Orchestra; the Wayne State Symphony Orchestra, the Troy Metro Symphony Orchestra. John was privileged to be a guest performer with the Air Force Band. During his marching career he performed with the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps and RhythmX Winds.

 

John began his career as a private lesson instructor in 2009, teaching trombone, euphonium, and tuba. Since 2013 John has enjoyed teaching marching bands across southeast Michigan. He currently teaches Plymouth High School, Clio High School, and the Madison Scouts.
